Our Story

Previous to starting Property Advocates of Minnesota, our owner, Tanner, worked with a general contractor, Super Siders. This company won the BBB Torch Award for ethics for 2019-2020. During this time of working with them, Tanner was primarily dealing with insurance claims and different insurance companies.

It was during this time spent working with insurance claims Tanner realized homeowners were being taken advantage of by the insurance companies. Contractors had to battle to get simple damages covered or give into the insurance companies pressures and complete repairs which don’t meet the states minimum standards for building code.

Fed up, Tanner ventured off, starting Property Advocates of Minnesota. His goal? To help homeowners make sure they are receiving the money they are owed to make the correct repairs, without the headaches that come with it.

Property Advocates of Minnesota interprets the homeowner’s policy and determines what parts (if not all) of the repairs the insurance company owes to pay the insured for.
